First School Board Meeting of 2026

On January 20, 2026, the School Board Meeting reported the progress made on the Strategic Plan focusing on Communication and Community Engagement to provide affordable housing and childcare for teachers. Two teacher homes in the Rosman area of Transylvania County are nearly complete and ready to begin the rental process. Transylvania County Schools began offering Child Development this school year as a new course for juniors to support student career pathways and help strengthen our future childcare workforce. At both meetings, Project Manager Beecher Allison updated the board regarding the ongoing and planned Joint School Bond Projects.
